Very robust. I have been using this for more than a year now. I have carried it on eighty dives in both tropical and cold water, and down to 40 meters. On small boats, on rough seas, and in my luggage. It is still going strong. The A80 camera is excellent too, but it is a pain in the neck if you forget to flip the screen before you dive. The housing slider for switching from playback to photo mode and back doesn't exert enough pressure/friction to operate the camera's slider under water so I have to make sure the camera is in photo mode before I dive. Otherwise everything still works perfectly. Don't rely on the neck strap, get a proper extendable lanyard and clip for your BCD. It just about fits in the pocket of my BCD, any bigger would be a problem. The camera floats if you lose it, so the bright yellow strap may help you locate it again on the surface (or coxn will find it and claim salvage!). Be careful that the strap doesn't become caught in the seal. Apply silicone grease to the seal from time to time. A small sachet of dessicant inside the housing is also a good idea. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 09 MARCH 2005 |

Brilliant accessory for the Powershot A80, your able use underwater to a depth of 40 meters. The housing is very well made and designed with plastic and glass. It comes with a bright yellow neck strap and wrist cord. The housing has brightly coloured buttons and dials which allow you to control ALL the controls on your camera including zoom, function, display, flash, menu, set, mode switch(for instant picure playback, left and right buttons, shooting mode dial, shutter and on/off button, it also has a tripod mount. Please note that you cannot use the optical view finder, you must rely on the LCD screen. Obviously the only two things you can't do with it underwater is change batteries / compact flash card but everything else is possible. The camera is easy to mount in the casing and has a large clasp with safety lock to ensure it doesn't accidently open. Big thumbs up from me! | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 15 FEBRUARY 2004 |
