| NOT VERY RELIABLE - Scores 2/5
First a button failed which was replaced under Gaggia's warranty period (just). Then 6 months ago something fundamental went wrong in the boiler and I had to get rid of it.
One thing I hadn't realised before buying it is that these cheaper espresso machines use aluminium boilers. I've been avoiding aluminium in the kitchen for decades and probably would have invested in something more expensive (and therefore, maybe, more reliable).
Apart from all that it was a great looking machine and could produce reasonable coffee. It was not so bad for the £120 I paid 3-4 years ago.

| BRILLIANT MACHINE - Scores 4/5
Bought this for my girlfriend as a birthday present. Very easy to use and set up, in fact we had our first cup of coffee five minutes after plugging the machine in.
So far we have had no problems. I would highly recommend, a great machine at a reasonable price. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 20 OCTOBER 2008 |

| VERY NICE ESPRESSO MAKER! - Scores 5/5
This is our office machine, i also have a similar machine from Breil at home, costing a bit more. But i'd have to say the Gaggia works better. Haven't had any problems with it, since we were new to an espresso maker, it took a few days to learn to operate it right. After that, perfect tasting coffee in the office every day! Very good set of accessories too... | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 03 AUGUST 2008 |

| FANTASTIC MACHINE FOR PRICE - Scores 4/5
I had this machine for 4+ years. Only problem was the on/off switch that played up early in during the first 3 months, got a replacement machine. Since then a very reliable espresso machine. Is is a bit knackered the filter holder broke and the tank has a crack. It is cheaper to buy a new machine than getting the spares.
So in early January I put it into a box in the loft and tried another brand and got a very nasty surprise, I am in the third replacement! In 6 months!Morphy Richards 47507 Premium Pump Espresso Coffee 15 bar
I do strongly recommend this machine, makes fantastic coffee, it is reliable and last long, make sure that you descale it every 3 months and you remove the filter part that is attached to the machine (check manual).... The only inconvenience is that the quality of the coffee deteriorates a bit as time goes by, but for the price it is an excellent buy. I make around 8-10 cups of coffee a day.
I am considering ditching my brand new machine (Morphy Richards 47507 Premium Pump Espresso Coffee 15 bar) and get another espresso coffee maker. A Gaggia branded espresso machine is definitely in the cards. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 16 JULY 2008 |

| ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT - Scores 5/5
I just bought it and it's absolutely brilliant. It is very straightforward to use, it has only three buttons, one for on/off, one for espresso and another one for steam, so it's pretty idiot proof to use. As long as you use espresso coffee, it makes a great espresso. The milk froth is pretty good as well, but it takes a few tries to learn how to do it properly. It's high quality stailless steel all over, no plastic apart from the water compartment. A bit noisy, but I think all are the same. The upper tray is great too, because you can store your mugs on top and it looks posh. I would definitely recommend it. Happy espresso-ing !!!! | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 13 JULY 2008 |
