Ok this may not be the world's prettiest espresso machine but it still looks good and is fantastic value. I have owned a Gaggia Espresso for about 6 years and use it most days. It keeps on making cup after cup of great coffee. It has been very reliable. I use filtered water, clean pressure head when needed and descale occassionaly. This is all that has been needed for years of reliable service and great coffee. Some more expensive machines have separate heating systems for water and steam but that's not really necessary on a home machine. I would give up all of my other kitchen gadgets, but not this one.
