| I STILL LOVE IT - Scores 4/5
I used one in a hotel recently and so decided to buy this because it is compact (uses about the same space as a lamp with a small shade), speakers are adequate for my purposes - as long as they were better than this Toshiba non-entertainment laptop I'm happy. Don't know what people were going on about the lighthouse light for, the top button will dim the light down (Three levels - bright, dimmish, off). Radio is dire but I live in a valley with poor reception most the time anyway. Oh but it has little converter things, including one for the touch. Nicely made, the little converter things have two little rubber bits to support the touch. It's the little touches :D Sleep works fine for me. Alarm in the morning does go for ascending whereas I suppose I'd prefer just to stay at a low-ish level. Probably something in the manual/change settings on my touch for that but haven't been bothered yet to try. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 26 SEPTEMBER 2008 |

| WHAT A HUDE DISAPPOINMENT - Scores 1/5
Only buy this if you are already very hard of hearing as the volumn you will woken up by with this alarm is deafening. Pre-set at level 20 when you would normally have music at no more than 12 is ridiculous. Not being able to alter this is nothing short of incompetant by Philips. As a dock it works fine and the sound is good but as an alarm it is a disaster. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 02 MARCH 2008 |

| COULD'VE BEEN GOOD.... - Scores 1/5
This is my second attempt to find an ipod dockable clock radio after returning a Logik. Initially I was impressed when trying it out at the store but when I got it home I realised all was not groovy! First of all the display which can be described as Bright, Very Bright or Off. Problem is if you turn it off then you can't read the time which isn't great as when you'll be needing to refer to it it's likely to be when it's dark! Secondly is that alarm which gets louder and louder and LOUDER!!!! Why on earth can't you set the maximum volume. The only way to stop it is to turn the thing off and then turn it back on again if you want to continue listening to something at a reasonable volume. Thirdly you only get the choice of a 9 minute snooze, i.e. you can't hit the button to add increments so it's bad luck if you fancy an uninterrupted 20 minute snooze for example. On the positive side a pretty good sound. I expected more from Philips but this is going back to the store. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 01 MARCH 2008 |

| WHY NOT JUST BUY A LIGHTHOUSE INSTEAD - Scores 1/5
Everything else is nice, but the brightness of the LCD display at night is absurd. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU EVER WANT TO GO TO SLEEP | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 21 FEBRUARY 2008 |

| ONE MAJOR FLAW - Scores 2/5
I bought this item since I was looking for a device that I could connect my iPod and set wakeup for radio or iPod. I also wanted a small unit that didn't look like a mini hifi, replacing my outdated wakeup radio next to bed. Its very easy to use and setup, very smart and handy remote control, everything looking great but ... there comes the big flaw: the wakeup volume in uncontrolable and absurd - it raises from 0 to 20 (2/3 of total volume!) in about 3 seconds!!! I returned it the same day. If it wasn't for that I would give it 4 stars for features and even sound quality is acceptable - I really don't understand how Philips did't see this major design flaw. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 10 FEBRUARY 2008 |
