 | | | | | | | | MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED! - Scores 4/5
My partner and I both stagger home after work each night with no desire to spend our free time by the sink. This little unit does exactly what it's supposed to. I don't know how I coped without it. It's the drying times, rather than the washing times that realy make a difference. You don't realise how long you used to spend at the sink with a tea towel, until you use a dishwasher. Performance wise, I find that the 35 minute cycle is perfectly adequate. It only uses one bowl of water. I use all in one tablets. The power ball doesn't dissolve fully, but it doesn't make a difference. I've put baking sheets and stubbourn pots in on there own 60 minute wash once a month. The instructions could be better, but take your time and you'll be fine. It took a while to find a suitable attachment for my sink tap. Try small independant hardware shops. Mine is called a 'fashion tap adapter'. Practice tightening it with the tap on a little and you'll learn how tight it needs to be. Finally, the cup rack isn't used much. I don't think many UK housholds use cups and saucers anymore. Pehaps a half rack that can hold a couple of mugs would be better? On avergage a houshold of two people only need to do a wash every other day. Some items will need washing in the sink, but they have more room on the draining board now. Finally, the counter space sacrificed for the unit is balanced by the free space on the draining board. I clean it more often now and use it as a second choping block/ prep area. An exreamly nice, usefull product. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS ON 28 JANUARY 2006 |
